  • What does LIFRIKE mean?

    LIFRIKE is a combination of my first name Lisa and my middle name Friederike. I had the idea of combining them and then use it as my business name. It is personal and very unique.

  • Where do you source your materials from?

    Everything I use is thrifted or salvaged. On a regular basis I visit thrift stores around my area to source jackets, shirts and fabrics. I use scraps but also old curtains, table clothes, blankets or place mats for the designs and try to find denim pieces or 100% cotton clothes. Everything sourced is washed before further use.

  • How long does it take you to finish a piece?

    This is one of the toughest questions to answer. But since I am a one woman business, it is not only the sewing time that counts. The time it takes me to source the item, wash it, draw the design, make the pattern, choose all fabrics, sew the design, iron it, make labels, take photos of it and last but not least ship it off, adds up quickly.

  • Do you take custom orders?

    At this point I am not able to take custom orders. If you have questions about a design or sizing, please get in touch with me via email or social media.

  • How do I take care of my upcycled piece?

    For all clothing items, dry clean or a light hand wash is recommended. All materials used are thrifted, therefore I can not be 100% certain about coloration and fabric content.

  • Collaborations, pop-ups and workshops!

    I am always curious and interested to get in touch with other artists and work on projects together. If you have an idea, please get in touch with me!

    Any upcoming events, like a pop-up or an artist market I will attend, I am going to announce on social media and on my website.

  • What is your return policy?

    At this point I am unable to take returns, exchanges or provide refunds. All items are final sale. If there is any issue with an item, please contact me via email or social media.

  • What is your shipping policy?

    All items are shipped in the most sustainable way possible. 100% biodegradable mailers are used. For packages within Canada and USA, tracked shipping is standard. To most other countries in the world surface shipping (most affordable way at this point) is standard. Tracked shipping will be available at an additional cost, if desired. Once an item is shipped, LIFRIKE is no longer responsible if item is lost, stolen or damaged in transit.
