I am Lisa Friederike Volkmann. Born and raised in Germany, I travelled the world for several years and now returned to my hometown - Wuppertal. I am an upcycling artist and my medium I work with is thrifted, salvaged and repurposed materials, mostly fabric.

All my life, art, being creative and photography have been huge passions of mine. I enjoy everything that I can create. Best from scratch until a finished piece is created.

Something that stays. Something that lasts.

It’s all about reusing, recycling and repurposing when it comes to upcycling. There is magic in finding some rare unique treasures that already come with their very own story.

Therefore I love thrift stores and all the beauties they have to offer. I love to create new pieces out of already existing materials. My goal is to add a new chapter to the original story of each item.

My work is inspired by the beautiful landscapes around me, as well as the little things I come across in my day to day life. From a pattern on a spoon to a mosaic tile floor - I see it, take it in and get creative.
